At 53rd IFFI in Goa, Indian Panorama Section opens for film buffs

The Indian Panorama at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) began today in Goa. The opening movie in the Feature film category was the Kannada film Hadinelentu directed by Prithvi Konanur. The opening film in the Non-Feature Film category was The Show Must Go On, directed by Divya Cowasji.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur inaugurated the Indian Panorama and felicitated cast and crew of both the opening films. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Thakur congratulated the filmmakers whose movies are being screened at the IFFI. Addressing the gathering, Information & Broadcasting Secretary Apurva Chandra said, under the Indian Panorama section, IFFI will be showcasing the best of the films from all the four corners of the country.

Mr. Thakur also inaugurated Film Bazaar, which is the largest film market in South Asia. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan was among others present on the occasion.

Mr. Thakur also launched ’53-Hour Challenge’ for the ’75 Creative Minds Tomorrow’ to showcase their talent by producing short films on the idea of ​​India@100. Ashok Shukla, AIR News, Goa.
